They caught a ton of fish and said that their captain was so kind and knowledgeable . We really didn't have a clue what we were doing but he was a great teacher and very patient. We ended up catching three different species of sharks and a ton of other fish. Caught trout, redfish, and shark. Knew it might be a tough day with strong wind and tides but Stan overcame the conditions and found the fish. We started out the morning on a few schools of Red Fish, and then worked our way through the waters running down trout and flounder. We even hooked up a couple of sharks! We had a blast. He had a great boat that was easy and comfortable to fish from and the bait was fresh. We appreciate that he made sure we caught some which was all we needed. (Went in middle of August which is not prime time.) The experience was interesting and fun. We also appreciated that he readily shared his fishing knowledge and extensive experience. Captain Stan was our guide and we could not have been more pleased with the experience. With over 20 years experience as a guide he clearly knew how to find the fish. He also was very personable and helpful with keeping us baited up and casting in the right spots for good action. We caught about 40 fish and kept a mix of 16 Sea Trout, Flounder and Whiting. Captain Stan cleaned the fish and we took some to a local restaurant that cooked them for us. Very knowledgeable of all inshore fish and what it takes to get the fish on your hook. He will put you on top of the fish. My son and I caught around 30 fish that were keepers. Plus about 10 fish that had to be released due to not meeting length. Overall this is the best charter in the Savannah area.Posted onVerified Best Friends Go Fishin' My wife Cathy's BFF Terry from Michigan comes to visit us in South Carolina every year. Always looking for new adventures, we decided to come to Tybee Island and try our hand at fishing. We made an outstanding decision with our selection of Captain Stan and Marshland Inshore Charters. With only the three of us aboard, Captain Stan was able to provide a lot of close support and advice. We moved several times in order to find the fish and ended up being very successful as we were able to catch the grand slam of inshore fishing.
